General Description of the Position

To coordinate social assistance interventions for vulnerable families supported by CECYDAR in its geographical area by ensuring collaboration with partners and local communities in order to better reach beneficiaries and respond adequately to their concerns for well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Identify, welcome and guide the potential beneficiaries of the organization in charge and identify their priority needs;

2. Establish an integrated intervention plan to meet the individual needs (rehabilitation, education, health, psychosocial support, economic strengthening, etc.) of each family.

3. Ensure the supervision, rehabilitation, reintegration and specialized monitoring of each family.

4. Support the grouping of families into Associations;

5. Support families in the development and management of small income-generating projects;

6. Train and monitor parents’ associations in their respective communities;

7. Raise awareness and support associations in collaboration with banks and other financial institutions;

8. Advocate in favor of vulnerable families to access the services available in the community.

9. Collaborate with local authorities in research and capacity building of families;

10.Ensure the tasks of educating children at the request of his superiors;

11.Follow up children reintegrated into their families and ensure their stability

12. Make home visits to families in need

13. Monitor reintegrated children at school

14. Be reference persons for all social issues of children and families;

15. Participate in restitution meetings and give supportive orientations to families 

16. Carry out activities in the field according to the indications provided by the hierarchical superior.

17. Complete the work tools according to the indications received from the supervisors and Evaluation of the CECYDAR Program

18. Write monthly reports on activities, to be presented to their Supervisor,

19.Work according to the spirit and mission of the organization.

20.Organize and coordinate the activities of CECYDAR in the field according to the indications given by his superiors

21.Contribute in consolidating the deadlines, reports intended for the various stakeholders (donors, local authorities and partners, the RDB service, the JADF, etc.)

22.Contribute in the development, strengthening and maintenance of good relations and collaboration with other stakeholders working in the District / Zone and in the same areas as those of CECYDAR.

23.Contribute in the development of potential ideas in the elaboration of new projects, the mobilization of new resources and funds or any other strategy intended to support the viability of the CECYDAR program

24. Any other activity requested by his superiors, aimed at the smooth running of the Program

Profile sought / qualifications required :

1. Have at least an A0 degree in Social Sciences

2. Have a professional experience of at least 2 years with vulnerable families in the community; 

3. Have a sense of organization and determination of priorities;

4. Have a team spirit and collaboration

5. Having human and social values, Christian values ​​would be an asset;

6. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

7. Ability to work with minimal supervision

8. Ability to contact and collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders in the field of child protection, poverty reduction and the well-being of vulnerable families

9. Ability to open up and acquire new knowledge

10Capacity for creativity and flexibility

11. Have an excellent level of spoken and written language in Kinyarwanda, French and English;

12. Have the usual practice of computer tools and software for office and electronic communication;

13. Having worked in a rehabilitation center for street children is an asset
