Job Description

1. Assessing patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic
techniques;
2. Performing a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high
– quality images;
3. Observing and maintaining care contact for patients throughout their waiting time, examination and post
– examination stay in the department to ensure their safety and comfort;
4. Assisting in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and
senior staff;
5. Providing support and reassurance to patients, preparing patient for exam by explaining
procedure, taking into account their physical and psychological needs;
6. Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and
observing protocols to ensure compliance with Guidelines / radiological practices and patient
confidentiality;
7. Understanding and observing health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing
radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others;

8. Ensuring that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults are reported;
9. Supervise and train students rotating in the Department.
10. Participate in quality assurance / accreditation process of the Hospital.
11. Attend and actively participate in clinical departmental meetings.
12. Perform other related duties as required.
