Job title  : Project Officer

Context and objective

The Diocese of Kabgayi/Ophthalmology Service of Kabgayi Hospital, in partnership with Lumière Pour Le Monde (LplM), would like to recruit a dedicated and competent Project Officer who will be responsible for the development of strategic documents aimed at future development of the Clinic. The candidate must meet the following conditions:

• University degree in public health, project management, development science, finance, hospital management or related fields;
• A master’s degree in one of the fields mentioned above is a definite advantage;
• Three years of experience in project management;
• Experience in the health field is an advantage;
• Proven experience in project monitoring and budget control;
• Proven experience in project monitoring, evaluation and reporting;
• Experience in organizing and facilitating training workshops;
• Practical skills in project cycle management;
• High integrity, strong verbal and written communication skills (in French, English and Kinyarwanda);
• Focused on quality results and able to engage with stakeholders;
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills; understanding of health services in Rwanda; especially eye services
• Computer skills (Ms excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook);
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under close supervision;
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize work and meet deadlines;
• The candidate will respect the principles of protection of children and adults at risk and of gender equality.
