Job purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of company’s
marketing, social media, branding, and communication activities. This involves
creating marketing materials and organizing all marketing events to expose Rubis
Energy Rwanda products and offerings to our target audience.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press
releases, blog posts and social media content
• Carry out execution of promotional and educational videos, organization of
communications for industry specific events and trade shows, and production of
targeted email campaigns
• Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social
media channels
• Upholding company brand across various channels such as the social media, by
working with the group marketing communications team to create the relevant
content
• Manager all internal communications.
• Be the key leading person in organizing all campaigns and product promotions
• Ensure that all communications and marketing materials aligns with brand
standards
• Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos• Work with the group communication team members to conceptualize and
implement communications strategies and campaigns
• Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they
arise
• Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand
placement in publications
• Put in place measures of recording success in marketing and communication
efforts, gather result data and produce reports for the management team
• Coordinate company’s involvement in the activities of community organization
• Assist in hiring contractor, including copywriters, advertising and marketing
agencies, and external consultant and serve as a liaison with contractors

Qualifications

• 2+years prior experience in a communications or marketing role
• Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook,
Instagram etc
• Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and
accurate content
• Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
• Superior time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
simultaneously
• Knowledge of Adobe photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
• Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
• Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction

Working conditions
The responsibilities of the job can be performed within the regular working hours.

Physical requirements
This position will be physically demanding as the incumbent is required to stand for
extended periods of time more especially during the campaigns.
