About the Company

MUNYAX ECO is a company providing clean and affordable energy (solar) while promoting women-led solutions. While access to clean and affordable energy remains a huge challenge in Africa, it is one of the main keys to its development and alleviation of poverty.

MUNYAX ECO offers a wide range of solar products including solar thermal (solar water heaters), Solar Photovoltaic for commercial & industrial size, residential systems, Solar home systems, centralized Micro-Grid in remote areas, solar pumping, solar cold chain, solar street lighting, etc.

Clean Energy is also a male-dominated sector, coupled with the fact that there are also limited skills and experience among our population in Africa. The reason why MUNYAX ECO promotes continually capacity building in the sector is not only for its staff but also for young graduates especially women, through internship & apprenticeship programs.

About the Position

MUNYAX ECO We are looking to employ an HR officer with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The HR officer is expected to be knowledgeable with Rwanda labor regulation, employment legislation and possess strategic and commercial insight to the labor process. He or she must be able to negotiate with diplomacy.

To ensure success, an HR officer should display excellent organizational skills, good time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A top HR officer should possess remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills to ensure employee compliance

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Monitoring employee performance.
  • Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.
  • Overseeing the health and safety of all employees.
  • Implementing systematic staff development procedures.
  • Providing counselling on policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
