Job Description


INVITATION TO TENDER 

The Network of Women Working for Rural Development (Women’s Network) is a national non-governmental organization of public interest, created in 1986 and governed by Law No. 04/2012 of 17/02/2012 on the organization and functioning of organizations national non-governmental organizations.

The Women’s Network since December 2022 in partnership with AMIE Canada, has been running the  “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Rwanda (SDSR-Rwanda)” Project.

The project aims to achieve the following ultimate outcome: increased enjoyment of human rights related to health by the most marginalized and vulnerable rights holders, in particular women, adolescent girls and children. It will intervene at the level of: i) capacity building (training) in SDSR for community workers and care providers and administrators identified within health establishments, ii) sensitization of diverse groups of women, adolescents .es as well as awareness raising for the benefit of the general public; (iii) improved SRHR service delivery to target groups. The project will be based in Gasabo District.

It is within this framework that the Women’s Network would like to recruit the following personnel for the execution of this project .

Position Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Respond to calls from the hotline (8011) with a positive and friendly demeanor, and with open and active communication ensuring beneficiary satisfaction for beneficiary loyalty;
  2. Participate in designing appropriate strategies to mediate and increase hotline calls;
  3. Develop and implement communication initiatives using appropriate tools and channels;
  4. Provide accurate, valid and complete information regarding SRHR;
  5. Manage the information received, identify and assess the needs of the beneficiaries and direct them to the persons concerned;
  6. Assist the communication officer in establishing institutional communication and effective relations with beneficiaries and partners;
  7. Keep records of interactions with beneficiaries;
  8. Process and report information received regarding the project and archive project documents;
  9. Follow up on concerns and complaints received on the hotline;
  10. Through solutions given on hotline to promote the National Policy of Family Planning and SDSR in Rwanda;
  11. Ensure the supervision of trainees and volunteers who ensure the strengthening of the services of the SDSR project;
  12. Manage project communication tools and keep them in good condition

Job requirements

  1. Possession of a university degree (A0) in Social Science, Education Science, Journalism and Communication or other related field;
  2. 5 years of professional experience in the field of SRHR and services related to sexual violence, Gender-based violence, is a great asset;
  3. Experience working with adolescents at the community level is a strong asset;
  4. Fluent in Kinyarwanda, French/English, knowledge of Swahili is an asset;
  5. Ability to actively handle a lot of calls and stress;
  6. Creative communication skills and good attitude in telephone contacts;
  7. Confidentiality, responsibility and autonomy
  8. Ability to adapt to the different types of temperaments of the beneficiaries with an orientation of their satisfaction;
  9. Ability to convey ideas concisely;
  10. Analytical skills.
