Recruitment notice of the General Manager of SOSOMA Industries Ltd

SOSOMA Industries Ltd would like to recruit a General Manager of the Company. The General Manager is the highest person responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company. He is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all activities in accordance with the highest standards of quality and productivity. He (she) is directly responsible for the overall results obtained by the Company. 

I. The main tasks:

  • Coordinate all the operations of the Company: administrative, financial and technical management;
  • Ensure the legal representation of the company upon the express delegation of its Board of Directors to national and international meetings dealing with food technologies and nutritional policy and to negotiations with the various partners;
  • Maintain fruitful relationships with third parties and represent the Company in day-to-day management actions;
  • Ensure adequate protection of all of the Company’s assets by following the principles of security, liquidity and profitability;
  • Prepare the Manuals and Regulations of the Operations for the approval of the Board of Directors;
  • Develop a production policy and ensure its application in the Company;
  • Propose to the Board of Directors the pricing policy for the purchase of raw materials and the sale of finished products allowing the Company to achieve an adequate level of profitability and ensure compliance with the Procurement Procedures Manual;
  • Design, recommend and implement the established policies regarding the affairs of the Company, its organization, management of human resources and assets, planning and monitoring of operations;
  • Develop a procurement plan and ensure its application;
  • Administer, direct, supervise, guide and train the service collaborators and the personnel of the Company;
  • Organize and lead meetings of the Company’s management team;
  • Ensure the maintenance of a harmonious work climate;
  • Ensure that Company employees enjoy their rights and fulfill their obligations;
  • Ensure that SOSOMA Industries Ltd operates efficiently and provides quality service;
  • Develop strategic and operational plans as well as their budgets for their approval by the Board of Directors;
  • Develop and adjust action plans so that they truly reflect the objectives and direction of the Company and have them approved by the Board of Directors;
  • Prepare and present the activity report including the financial report to the Board of Directors;
  • Ensure that work units operate efficiently and provide quality service.
  • Establish the necessary controls to ensure optimal functioning of the production process and the organizational units of the Company and its human resources;
  • Implement the decisions of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors.

II. The required profile 

  • Have at least an A0 degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Management;
  • Have a professional experience of at least 5 years, preferably in commercial companies; 
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a high-level position of responsibility;
  • Have the ability to work in a team;
  • Have writing skills;
  • Have a sense of organization;
  • Mastering IT tools: Spreadsheets and word processing and SAGE Accounting and GESCOM software (Commercial management and inventory management);
  • Be of exemplary honesty and integrity;
  • Speak and write fluently Kinyarwanda, French and English;
  • Have good manners, courtesy and good manners.

III. Remuneration 

The planned net monthly salary is one million four hundred and fifty thousand Rwandan Francs (1,450,000 RWF) to which is added a work vehicle, communication costs (50,000 RWF) and a balance sheet bonus in case of profit. Medical care is provided for the affected person and his entire family.
