The Belgian School of Kigali

The Belgian School of Kigali is an international private school. It has existed for over 55 years. Created by Belgian cooperation, it is now managed by a non-profit organization under Rwandan law. It is mainly financed by the school fees paid by the parents. All sections follow the programs of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. The school receives periodic inspection, and its diplomas are recognized by the Federation. Thus, its historical links with Belgium are maintained.

The hallmark of the school is that of quality education and a humane and benevolent environment. So that the best is given to our students, we are demanding with our teachers! We expect from them dynamism, inventiveness, involvement, empathy, and also adaptation and flexibility.

We welcome very different profiles to the school: young graduates as well as people with experience or families with children.

We are looking for for January 2023:

An English teacher (AESI or AESS)

We prefer people with a required qualification issued by the FWB, and with teaching experience according to the programs of the FWB.

Your task

  • You provide the standard full-time English course from M3 to P6.
  • You work in collaboration with the other English teachers.
  • You carry out all the tasks related to your teaching duties and participate in the life of the school.
  • You ensure an excellent level in English; in particular, you are organizing the Cambridge tests for the year 2022-2023.

Candidate profile

  • Hold a diploma of the AESS or AESI Germanic languages ​​option English.
  • Express yourself correctly in French, both orally and in writing;
  • Speak impeccable English.
  • Ability to fit into a team;
  • Demonstrate leadership, empathy, ability to reinvent oneself, firmness, adaptation and communication skills.
