Job title:Director of Local Government Institute (LGI)

Rwanda Association of Local Government Authorities (RALGA) wishes to recruit the “Director of Local Government Institute (LGI)”. The Director will be responsible, among others, for coordinating, supervising and providing technical guidance and oversight over the Local Government Institute; ensuring that capacity building interventions are delivered dynamically, effectively and are meeting the needs of RALGA members, and leading LGI team in alignment with RALGA vision and values.

Education and. Experience

At least a Master’s degree in education, public administration, Business Administration or Social Sciences;

Experience of at least 3 years in senior management positions in institutions of higher learning;

Practical experience in Local Government in Rwanda with good completion Experience in human resource management or capacity building

Experience in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation;

Knowledge of Rwandan Local Government working environment, challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of RALGA

Being familiar with decentralization policies and processes is recommended.
