Job Description


INVITATION TO TENDER 

The Network of Women Working for Rural Development (Women’s Network) is a national non-governmental organization of public interest, created in 1986 and governed by Law No. 04/2012 of 17/02/2012 on the organization and functioning of organizations national non-governmental organizations.

The Women’s Network since December 2022 in partnership with AMIE Canada, has been running the  “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Rwanda (SDSR-Rwanda)” Project.

The project aims to achieve the following ultimate outcome: increased enjoyment of human rights related to health by the most marginalized and vulnerable rights holders, in particular women, adolescent girls and children. It will intervene at the level of: i) capacity building (training) in SDSR for community workers and care providers and administrators identified within health establishments, ii) sensitization of diverse groups of women, adolescents .es as well as awareness raising for the benefit of the general public; (iii) improved SRHR service delivery to target groups. The project will be based in Gasabo District.

It is within this framework that the Women’s Network would like to recruit the following personnel for the execution of this project .

Position Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Write, edit and distribute SDSR messages, including publications, press releases, website and social media content, speeches and other marketing materials;
  2. Ensure the coordination and rigorous management of the hotline call center;
  3. Design the performance indicators of the hotline call center and carry out their monitoring and annual report;
  4. Prepare activity reports and produce a contribution to the periodic project reports;
  5. Develop appropriate strategies to mediate and increase hotline calls;
  6. Develop a project marketing plan and a media outreach plan and execute it;
  7. Design advertising spots, leaflets, posters, animation of radio-TV programs, theatre, song, cultural artistic competition and digital awareness
  8. Contribute to community awareness activities including the celebration of international SRHR days;
  9. Establish institutional communication and effective relations with beneficiaries and partners;
  10. Feed the Women’s Network website daily with articles relating to the activities carried out, emphasizing success stories, lessons learned and good practices;
  11. Develop training tools for hotline agents and other project services and organize capacity building in effective communication;
  12. Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain a media database;
  13. Multiply initiatives and creativity to improve the visibility of the organization and coordinate publicity events;
  14. Perform other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor in relation to his skills.

Job requirements

  1. Possession of a university degree (A0) in journalism and communication or another related field;
  2. 5 years of professional experience in the field of SRHR and services related to sexual violence, Gender-based violence, is a great asset;
  3. Extensive experience and knowledge in writing and editing
  4. Mastery of design and editing software;
  5. Skills in photo and video editing;
  6. Knowledge of online communication tools with a particular focus on audiovisual production and distribution
  7. Ability to convey ideas and in a concise manner
  8. Analytical skills
  9. Work in close collaboration with the entire project team;
  10. Fluent in Kinyarwanda and French and knowledge of English is an added advantage
