Canal+ International is a subsidiary of Canal+ Group (Group Vivendi).  Canal + offers bundles of pay TV Channels throughout the world in more than 40 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific South and Asia.

In Africa, CANAL + INTERNATIONAL is active in more than 20 countries, distributes more than 200 channels via satellite to more than 4.5M subscribers in Africa.

Role: 

As the Communication Officer, you will be in charge of marketing and communication actions in its different forms (media, events, digital, video, etc.); to actively contribute to the implementation of communication actions on the various digital channels and operational action plans to develop the visibility of the brand in line with the overall communication strategy. 

Your role is to spread a positive image of the company’s activities and its projects. You will be the conductor who applies and coordinates the company’s communication policy. You will implement actions with different audiences. Your field of action can therefore affect both internal (agents, partners) and external (press, general public, etc.) communication 

What you will do: 

Monitoring and implementation of campaigns (OOH, TV, RADIO-DIGITAL): 

• Ensure that the local media concerned by the campaign have received the spots (radio + TV) at least 2 days before the start of the campaign, 
• Ensure that the signs have been posted, 
• Follow up on media plans and analyse monitoring, 
• Participate in the implementation of the brand visibility plan and its deployment 
• Contribute to the implementation of internal communication tools (newsletter, calendar event, bulletin board), 
• Participate in the development of the digital communication strategy of the subsidiary which is in line with the directions and action plans defined for the group, 
• Propose the implementation, adaptation or development of tools in order to optimize / boost the visibility of the company on the internet, 
• Animate the different accounts of the company on social medias, 
• Monitor digital campaigns: media plans, campaign deployment and monitoring, 
• Ensure the implementation and technical monitoring of tools (interface with providers), 
• Manage mailing lists and ensure the proper functioning of digital communication tools, 
• Suggest changes to improve the performance of the tools, 
• Drafting campaign reports; 

Merchandise exchanges 

• Responsible for the selection of the media, negotiation of contract and monitoring for Merchandise exchanges, 
• Ensure the relationship with media partners;  

Sponsorship management: 

• Participate in the choice of sponsorships, 
• Operationally manage the various sponsorships, 
• Write the reports of the different activities; 

Merchandising, POS marketing: 

• Participate in the launch of communication campaigns and Merchandising actions (POS dispatch, monitoring and control); 

You will be the right fit if: 

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, communication or equivalent; 
• You have proven experience of at least 3 years in a similar position; 
• You can put forward proposals; 
• You are proficient in Microsoft office tools (Excel and Word); 
• You have the following core attributes: curiosity, open-mindedness, Team spirit, responsiveness, diplomat and pragmatism; 
• You have a sense of autonomy and responsibility; 
• You are able to work under pressure; 
• You have excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills; 
• You are able to adapt and be on the lookout for new ideas; 
• You can speak fluently English, French and Kinyarwanda.
