INVITATION TO TENDER
The Network of Women Working for Rural Development (Women’s Network) is a national non-governmental organization of public interest, created in 1986 and governed by Law No. 15/08.11 of February 28, 2011 and complies with Law No. 058/2024 of June 20, 2024 governing non-governmental organizations.
Since December 2022, in partnership with AMIE, the Women’s Network has been implementing the “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Rwanda (SRHR-Rwanda)” project in the 15 sectors of the Gasabo District, Kigali City. The project aims to achieve the following ultimate result: increased enjoyment of human rights related to health by the most marginalized and vulnerable rights holders, particularly women, adolescent girls, and children. Within this framework, the Women’s Network wishes to recruit a Clinical Psychologist who meets the following requirements:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and offering counseling to clients before screening for sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS, and providing appropriate support to victims of unsafe abortion, victims of gender-based violence and sexual violence…
- Contribute to the development of awareness-raising tools, organize and lead awareness campaigns on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, including the celebration of international days on SRHR;
- Coordinate the data collection and compilation process, perform related analyses and interpretations, and produce periodic reports as well as success stories for the reporting period;
- Prepare reports on cases treated and/or referred in the field of counseling, psychiatric and psychosocial care and make recommendations to the appropriate people for follow-up;
- Contribute to the supervision of the multidisciplinary team of the SDSR project, represent the organization when needed, and replace the project coordinator in her absence;
- Facilitate the administrative and logistical procedures of the activities in coordination with the project’s administrative team
- Contribute to the effective management of the budget allocated to the project;
- Working closely with the legal consultant;
- Collaborating with other public and private institutions working in the field of SRHR
- Provide daily support within the project team for prevention, stress management and develop a spirit of mutual support among staff;
- Perform other tasks assigned by his supervisor related to his skills.
Job requirements
- Possession of a university degree (minimum A0) in clinical psychology and mental health;
- Five years of professional experience in the field of SRHR and services related to sexual violence and gender-based violence is a great asset;
- Experience working with adolescents at the community level is a major asset;
- Experience in providing support to victims of gender-based and sexual violence;
- Experience in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment;
- Confidentiality, responsibility, autonomy and strategic thinking;
- Excellent communication, facilitation, teamwork, judgment, and decision-making skills;
- Having initiative and creativity in leading meetings, training workshops and youth events is an asset;
- Computer skills (Microsoft package);
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and French is required. Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Having a degree in the health field (nursing) is an asset
Contract duration:
The employment contract is for a period of nine (9) months with the possibility of extension.
Work arrangement: Full-time
Start of service: The likely start date for service is July 1, 2026
Workplace: Office of the Network of Women Working for Rural Development located in Kinyinya, Gasabo District, Kigali City
