 “Animation, Training and Coaching Specialist” (S-AFC)

RCN Justice & Démocratie is a Belgian international NGO created in 1994 after the genocide in Rwanda. Its mission is to guarantee respect for the fundamental rights of everyone by defending more particularly the right to justice, as well as the rights recognized by international conventions. RCN Justice & Démocratie has been active since its creation in the field of local justice and transitional justice.

She is looking for  an Animation, Training and Coaching Specialist ”(S-AFC)  as part of her UBUTABERA BWEGEREYE UMUTURAGE (UBU) Project, implemented in 6 districts of the country.

The S-AFC works under the technical and operational supervision of the Resp. AFC with whom, he (she) maintains continuous communication.

The project

The UBU project aims to strengthen access to justice for the populations by improving knowledge of their fundamental rights and the functioning of the local justice system by the beneficiaries of justice as well as improving the capacity of justice actors in proximity (including state actors and CSOs) to provide high quality justice services, to educate people about their rights and the functioning of the justice system, and to assist citizens (especially women and vulnerable groups) ) exercise their rights; It also aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in the justice sector to carry out advocacy activities with the aim of influencing positive change in the justice system. It is implemented in 6 District (Kicukiro, Kayonza, Ngoma, Karongi,

The profile

• Be of Rwandan nationality;
• Have a University degree at least License in law or social science, with work experience (demonstrable) of at least 3 years having a clear link with the tasks to be performed for RCN Justice & Democracy, including significant experience in organization and facilitation of training;
• Have a good knowledge or sensitivity to the problems of the rural population of Rwanda;
• Have a good knowledge or a strong interest in the local bodies that are the Abunzi committees and the land committees;
• Have good experience in the field of civil society;
• Ability to work in a team and be able to work in the field;
• Have a mastery of the computer tool (Word and Excel and Power Point) essential;
• Proficiency in Kinyarwanda (written / oral), as well as French (written / oral), and good knowledge of English (written / oral);
• Be available from July 6, 2020

Tasks

Under the supervision of the COOPROs and the Resp-AFC concerned, the Program Training and Coaching Animation Specialist must:

• Ensure compliance with the planning of the project to which it contributes;
• Monitor and control daily the operations and actions for which he is responsible on the basis of determined planning and verify the adequacy and the results obtained taking into account the objectives determined within the framework of the project to which he contributes;
• Contribute to the preparation of workshops, training and coaching for local justice stakeholders  :
• Facilitate workshops, training and coaching for Proximity Justice Actors in close collaboration with the other members of the team:
• Collect and transmit the necessary data to the SEC
• Ensure the reporting of workshops, training and coaching and contribute to the improvement of practices:
• Perform the field visits necessary for the project, in particular to conduct the activities, and to carry out surveys of the population as part of the monitoring and evaluation of the project and produce the reports;
• Check the data collected and enter it for analysis;
• Participate in the analysis of the data collected;
• Contribute to the development or adaptation of project tools;

Type of Contract

Fixed-term contract.
