Job Description


About the role

Education Development Trust is implementing the Building Learning Foundations (BLF) in Rwanda. BLF is an initiative of the Rwanda  Ministry of Education and Rwanda Education Board; it is funded by the British people through the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) as part of the Learning for all Programme. The programme began in July 2017 and will run until September, 2023. BLF seeks to recruit a Team Leader.

The Team Leader’s role is to head  the project and manage our in-country project delivery team of national and international staff including those supplied by our consortium partners. The Team Leader will guide and oversee the development and implementation of a range of targeted measures that will improve quality and learning outcomes in early grades Maths and English and reduce dropout. The Team Leader is responsible for delivering the agreed educational outcomes, ensuring adherence to client and organisational policies and procedures, maintaining professional relationships with the client, senior political leaders and partners.
