In Africa, CANAL + INTERNATIONAL is active in more than 20 countries, distributes more than 200 channels via satellite to more than 4.5M subscribers in Africa. 

Role: 

As the Sales Team Leader, you will be in charge of prospecting, recruiting new subscribers to ensure satisfaction and increasing the subscriber base by promoting offers and products, who will be under the supervision of the Sales Coordinator. 

What you will do: 

Management of a team of outdoor sales staff:  

  • Daily briefing and weekly meetings with Sales Administration Manager, 
  • Follow-up of individual performances/achievements and coaching, 
  • Follow-up of variable bonuses, 
  • Schedule/planning management meeting with the team; 

Daily follow-up of the KPIs: 

  • Daily analysis of the staff performance/KPI and report Sales Administration Manager and Regional Sales Manager, 
  • Suggest corresponding business actions and sales activations/events; 

Convey and spread the company commercial strategy/policy: 

  • Set-up and follow-up of sales activations to boost the Dealer performances, 
  • Ensure merchandising guidelines are applied, 
  • Ensure the sales speech/standards are mastered and applied; 

Operational management: 

  • Ensure processes are understood and applied (finance, logistics…), 
  • Stock and cash management/control, 
  • Ensure the maintenance of the sales tools POSM/device/equipment is done, 
  • Manage inventories and stock, including keeping detailed records of inventory use and sales, and advise management on ordering where necessary, 
  • Monitor and report at outdoor activities (flyer dispatch, any other activities…), 
  • Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training, 
  • Support the deployment of new means of payment by identifying opportunities during the trip on field with the team. 

You will be the right fit if: 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing and any other related field; 
  • You have 3 years Management experience of a B2C sales team; 
  • You have excellent knowledge of B2C sales speech/technics ; 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, …);  
  • You are business-oriented and results-driven; 
  • You possess leadership skills to manage and motivate the team; 
  • You can develop the team members skills; 
  • You have a Sense of autonomy and responsibility; 
  • You have good interpersonal skills / team spirit; 
  • You are dynamic and pragmatist; 
  • You are customer-oriented; 
  • You can speak fluently English, French and Kinyarwanda.
