Federation Handicap International is recruiting for its project “Leave no person with specific needs behind when determining humanitarian interventions in Rwanda” funded by UNHCR  2 Psychologists  as part of a salaried position on a fixed-term contract (5 months) with trial period of 3 months.

 FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: Tasks and responsibilities

Under the direct responsibility of the field coordinator, the psychologist is responsible for the implementation of the project’s SM&SP activities in his area with the possibility of entrusting him with responsibilities for other projects and actions in progress on the program. More specifically, he / she is responsible for:

  1. Coordination of SM&SP activities
  2. Training, coaching and supervision
  3.  Management of project SM&SP activities
  4. Analysis and reporting
  5. Ensure the quality and impact of activities
  6. Execute any other responsibility and task entrusted to it by the field coordinator in particular and the program in general.

EXPECTED PROFILE

 

Essential

Wish

Diploma (s)  :

  • A0 level university degree (license or equivalent) in clinical psychology, health psychology or psychopathology or other areas of mental health.
  • Diploma in humanitarian action

Experiences  :

  •  Minimum 3 years of experience in training / awareness actions in the area of ​​psychosocial support and mental health
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience in setting up individual and group psychosocial care for people with psychosocial difficulties.
  •  Minimum of three years of experience in the implementation of mental health and / or psychosocial coaching / supervision activities Experience of at least 3 years in a Refugee project.
  • Community mental health experience
  • Experience working with organizations or implementing actions for vulnerable people
  • Experience in rural areas and difficult to access
  • Experience in team management of professionals

Skills :

  • Proven knowledge in the areas of mental health and psychosocial support
  • Good knowledge of computers (Word, Excel and PowerPoint software).
  •  Thorough knowledge of Kinyarwanda and English required.
  • Knowledge of French desirable.
