PSYCHOLOGIST POSITION

You have a taste for challenges, a real commitment to development and a deep sensitivity towards vulnerable people in general and people with disabilities in particular, then this recruitment notice concerns you!

Handicap International Federation, which implements its programs under its operational name  “Humanity & Inclusion” is  recruiting for its  “Ubuntu care  ” project  a Psychologist  as part of a salaried position on a fixed-term contract, with a period 3 month trial.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FUNCTION

Under the responsibility of the Ubuntu Care Project Manager, the (a) psychologist is responsible for the implementation of the activities of the Ubuntu Care project in his area. More specifically he / she will be responsible for: 

  • Training and Awareness
  • Psychological and social care
  • Referral of cases of sexual violence and disabled children
  • Support and supervision of actions at community level
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Mastery of the Child Protection Policy

 EXPECTED PROFILE

 

Essential

Diploma  :

 

  • Minimum A0 university degree in clinical psychology / mental health and related fields.

Experiences

  • Knows the technical issues of mental health and psychosocial support as well as protection against abuse
  •  Prior experience in the work and support of vulnerable children is essential.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in technical support to a team / partner in the field of child protection or gender-based violence is essential. (training, evaluation)
  •  Have been a trainee in the field of psychosocial support and Be in control of the inclusion of people with disabilities

  • Emotional balance.
  • Analytical skills.
