TERMS OF REFERENCE: PROJECT OFFICER

SPECTRA is a Rwandan local young feminist organization whose mission is to build a strong and well-coordinated movement of empowered young feminist leaders who contribute meaningfully to social justice, gender justice and realization of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights of young women and girls

SPECTRA is looking for a qualified and well experienced Rwandan national for the position of a project officer to lead projects management and implementation work specifically on women and girls reproductive rights and access to safe abortion

 Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead projects implementation of women and girls’ rights with the focus of sexual and reproductive health and rights including access to safe abortion
• Plan, implement, monitor and produce timely projects progress reports as required
• Assist in the development, implementation, management, monitoring, and evaluation of the programs implemented by SPECTRA and partners.
• Represent SPECTRA in work meetings in-country or out of the country as required
• Assist in other work as assigned

Qualifications and experience

• Academic: Should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, law, development studies. Knowledge of feminism, gender equality, and women’s rights is an added advantage
• Experience: Should have at least 2 year’s proven experience working with similar NGOs in a similar field, should have a clear understanding of women’s reproductive rights issues in Rwanda and globally including access to safe abortion services
• Young and Female identifying candidates are highly encouraged to apply
