JOB VACANCY: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Q-Sourcing is looking to recruit a competent and experienced candidate for the position of Managing Director on behalf of its client in the Agriculture –Farming sector who will be carrying out the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the MD:

Head and representative of the company

  • Contribute to continuous growth and development of the company
  • Implement company policies defines operational goals and make key decisions through communicating to CEO and Head-Office in Korea
  • Internally make a good organizational culture of the company through excellent organizational management
  • Externally keep a favorable relationship with government institutions, farmers and other customers

Business performance

  • Secure and develop business competitiveness to make tangible and intangible performance financially
  • Allocate company resources of HR and budget efficiently through proper delegation of duties
  • Develop new business in the future

Risk management

  • Keep contingency plan and implement it under emergency
  • Monitor core competencies, opportunities, threats and weak points of the company
  • Continuously improve quality and environmental systems.

Operational management

  • Make and implement business plan to get company vision
  • Set up steady supply chain of sericulture in rural area and management infra
  • Lead, help and check the activities of fields technicians, staff and factory and to maintain and make good performance
  • Monitor and improve operational management system with relevant evaluation
  • Continuously and closely communicate management issues to CEO and head-office to make good decision especially in planning and marketing
  • Supervise daily report from each division and/or department and play a central and directive role to lead the company
  • Lead a weekly meeting with division and/or department leaders

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing or any other related field with some background in agriculture
  • Extensive experience as a Managing Director or in a similar role
  • At least 10 years’ senior level experience of management of people and resources
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic and new business plans
  • Experience of agricultural value chains from farm level to retailing services or industrial goods
  • An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques

Skills and abilities:

  • Excellent motivational and leadership skills to inspire performance
  • Excellent strategic planning, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills and able to interact with all levels
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and highly meticulous
  • Language skill: Kinyarwanda, English is a must

Package:

  • Hours of work: Full-time employment.
  • Location: Kigali and Bugesera
  • Salary & Contract conditions:Negotiable
