Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri (INES-Ruhengeri) is calling for applications for the following vacant teaching position in the Department of Biotechnologies:

Position

One (1) Lecturer

Qualifications and Experiences

Having a PhD Degree in Food Science or Food Biotechnology with a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in higher learning institutions.
Being a Senior Lecturer or Professor is an added value.
Proven experience in supervising thesis projects.
Evidence of securing research grants or leading biotechnology projects.
Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership.
Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging technologies in biotechnologies.
Ability to leverage new technologies to develop a vision and new strategies to support changing student needs.
Experience in meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders.
Strong collaborative and communication skills.
Demonstrated understanding of program and service trends that support academic success.
Willingness to support and advance the Department of Biotechnologies in teaching activities.
Main Job Descriptions

Teaching and supervising students’ projects.
Teaching oriented to biotechnologies.
Assisting the Head of Department in teaching and learning, or any other assigned related activities.
Research and Community outreach
Skills and Competences

Proven experience in teaching-related activities.
Fluency in English.
Ability to establish effective relationships with staff, students, interns, and researchers from abroad.
Outstanding communication skills; reflective and critical thinking approach.
Display calmness under pressure and have a sense of humor.
