JOB: A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Primary School and Kindergarten APAPER is a non-governmental organization established in 1985 and located in GASABO ​​– Remera very close to Sonatube. It is a kindergarten-elementary school with a French-speaking program offering education based on the active method “learning by doing” and on human values.

We are looking for a  dedicated Kindergarten  Teacher to join our qualified teaching team. 

Responsibilities

• Present lessons holistically and use all means to facilitate learning
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Create and distribute educational content (setting up workshops, notes, summaries, assignments, etc.) 
• Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback
• Keep the classroom clean and orderly
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and administration and participate in scheduled meetings
• Plan and execute classroom and outdoor educational activities and events
• Observe and understand student behavior while reporting suspicion of neglect, abuse, etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by participating in training, etc.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a teacher
• Have an excellent command of the oral and written French language
• In-depth knowledge of pedagogical best practices
• Experience in Montessori pedagogy approach will be an asset
• Excellent communication skills 
• Computer knowledge
• Be well organized and dedicated
• Be creative and energetic
• Have strong moral values ​​and a sense of discipline
• Degree in teaching or a specialized subject with a certificate in education 
• Maximum of 35 years
