RECRUITMENT NOTICE
In order to support its development and strengthen its teams, ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Rwanda Plc is recruiting: An IT Support Officer.
- AN IT SUPPORT OFFICER
Reporting to: IT Manager
Summary Description:
Ensure the achievement of quality and capacity of information systems in order to meet the IT needs of ATLANTIQUE MICROFINANCE Plc
Missions:
- User Support
- Respond in a timely manner to issues and support requests (helpdesk, tickets, phone, email)
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems
- Monitoring and training of staff to understand and use IT tools
- Collect and study the needs expressed by the Functions of Atlantique Microfinance Plc
- Provide technical support throughout the institution
- Maintenance of the computer park
- Install and configure computer hardware and software and update workstations (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
- Install and administer a database such as DB2 UDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, etc.
- Manage printers, ticket counters, peripherals and software licenses
- Manage equipment inventory
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary
- Testing new technologies
- Evaluate and recommend IT investments corresponding to expressed needs
- Network and Security Management
- Install, configure, monitor network systems (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.)
- Monitor network connectivity (Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, VPN).
- Ensure the security of IT systems (Firewall, Active Directory, antivirus, security patches, user access)
- Monitor the physical security system (CCTV camera, intrusion and fire alarm, fingerprint, etc.)
- Ensure data backup and restoration when needed
- Compliance and data protection
- Implement the IT strategy and policy of Atlantique Microfinance Plc
- Validate the effectiveness and control of risks linked to information systems
- Document technical procedures and resolved incidents
- Maintain compliance with internal and external service level agreements
- Design an optimal organization of information flows
- Ensure the protection of sensitive, personal and private data
- Documentation and monitoring and reporting
- Monitor and update the IT knowledge base
- Report recurring problems and suggest improvements
- Conduct periodic reporting on system performance and resource optimization as needed
- Collaboration with the IT team
- Participate in new systems deployment projects
- Escalate complex incidents to the next level (IT Manager, System Admin, Developer, project manager, etc.)
- Performs and completes any other projects as requested by the supervisor
Expected results:
- Good knowledge of IT resource management (operating systems, software, networks, security and IT hardware, Datacenter, etc.)
- Management of bureaucratic tools (Microsoft 365, Google workspace, call center, etc.)
- Have some knowledge of cybersecurity
- Sense of service and communication
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly
- Organization and priority management
- Patience and teaching with users
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Have at least:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a closely related field;
- Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position;
- French proficiency;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
