BRALIRWA is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of IT Maintenance & Support Officer located in Rubavu (Gisenyi), reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure the correct functioning of the corrugated IT networks as well as of the IT equipment of local networks (Wiring Data, LAN/WAN, UPS and accessories). Maintenance of the network and support in hardware reparation (Computers, network devices, printers, etc).

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure connectivity to local networks of all IT equipment to allow access to shared resources

Fix and repair the data sockets
Fix the various cable trays (data & electrical)
Maintain network equipment (physical level)

2. Know and respect the basic physical principles of computer network

Install and maintain UPS and their protections
Pull and maintain corrugated electrical cables from strong current networks
Plan and organize the maintenance program for inverters
Repair and maintain inverters

3. Participate in IT Services Support (Level 2 support)

Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system and software related problems
Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end users
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WAN, LAN, firewall, VPN systems, etc
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with voice communications (mobile devices)
Collaborate with our external service providers

4. Maintain and Repair electronic hardware and accessories

Repair any electronic IT equipment kept by IT
Follow up inventory of all network and UPS equipment

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or any other related field
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
Fluent in English & French (both verbally and in writing), and Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage
Expertise in Electricity & Electronics is a requirement
Knowledge of IT Support will be an added advantage
Planning and attention to detail are a requirement
Well-developed team work skills
