General Description of the Position

The Programs Manager is part of the Management Committee and under the supervision of the Director, he / she contributes in the strategic orientation of the organization, the development of programs, the preparation of operational plans, the preparation of forecasts budget, mobilization of program funds and harmonization of program activity reports.

Duties and  Responsibilities

1.  Participate in the development of the strategic plans of the Organization;
2. Design, develop and Contribute to the implementation of projects;
3. Develop and execute the work plans of the annual program of the Organization;
4. Organize and facilitate the holding of strategic and operational planning workshops and produce reports;
5. Write periodic and annual reports for donors and other partners;
6. Participate in the identification of new funding and partnership opportunities;
7. Participate in meetings relating to the identification of new funding and partnership opportunities;
8. Participate in the negotiation of funds;
9. Support in the development of partnership agreements with the Organization’s partners;
10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the records and information systems of the Organization’s Programs;
11. Capitalize on the achievements of the organization’s programs and projects;
12. Produce the periodic and annual reports of the Organization;
13. Ensure the monitoring and evaluation of projects / programs, 
14. Evaluate (or update) the capacity building needs of the Programs;
15. Organize and manage activities related to training, coordination of thematic groups or other capacity building activities;

Profile sought /  qualifications required :

• Have at least an A0 diploma in project management / management or in sociology,  
• Have at least 5 years of professional experience, including at least three years in a program or project coordination position; 
• Have worked with vulnerable groups for at least two years;
• Have proven experience in the management and administration of a program or project;
• Have excellent research, report writing and presentation skills;
• Have a great capacity for analysis, organization and synthesis;
• Have an excellent level of spoken and written language in Kinyarwanda, French and English;
• Have the usual practice of computer tools and software for office and electronic communication;
• Have flexibility and adaptation skills;
• Have a good behavior, life and morals;
•  Ability to work under pressure, with rigor and with a minimum of supervision;
• Be available within a maximum period of one week from the moment of notification that his application is selected;
• Be at least 30 years old and at most 40 years old;
• Having completed training in child protection is an asset
