Job Description


Business Unit

Finance and Administration

Main duties and responsibilities for the job

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition and company investments
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
Ensure the receivable management and revenue collection;
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with BK Group reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Additional controller duties as necessary
Supervise and manage Financial Department staff, including Business Development Staff
Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
Report to the company management with timely and accurate financial information
Assist the Management in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
Payroll processing
Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis finding

Key Accountabilities

Oversee Accounting Department Activities
A finance Manager’s main day-to-day responsibility is directing and leading accounting departments and personnel to support the company.

Maintain Accounting Documents

Maintain Accounting Documents
The Finance Manager is responsible for reporting and supporting due diligence activities by maintaining accounting documents such as financial reports and bank statements. He/She gathers and maintains documents related to accounts payable and receivable, assets and liabilities, and financial transactions. If an organization undergoes an audit, the finance controller prepares and shares these documents with auditors.

Issue Banking and Financial Reports
The finance periodically creates and issues reports on banking and financial activities. The finance manager ensures that these reports are timely, accurate, and prepared according to internal and external guidelines.

Develop and Monitor Company Budgets
The finance manager support organizational financial goals by preparing and monitoring annual and periodic budgets. He/She examines anticipated revenue and expenditures, along with assets and liabilities, to maintain the organization’s cash flow and ensure that it can meet its financial obligations. The finance manager also monitors budgets versus expenditures for any irregularities and reports these to the management.

File Tax Returns and Payments

The finance manager is responsible for tax returns and issue payments on behalf of their organizations. He/She gathers financial information at the end of the reporting period and determines the organization’s tax liability, if any.

Direct Invoicing and Accounts Payable Activities
The finance manager maintains oversight of banking activities by directing invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities. This can include directly issuing checks to vendors and suppliers, monitoring outstanding checks and payments, and following up with customers who are late on payments. The finance controller also reconciles these payments with banking and financial data.

Revenue Collection

Finance manager oversees the collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and per company policy. This role involves creating and implementing strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt. He/She implement credit policies and procedures that retain a smooth running of the department and avoid excessive credit limits

Team Coordination

The finance manager develops goals that complement the overarching business goals of the company and coordinate staff to continually meet and exceed goals. Communicate with clients to build and maintain a strong working relationship and reduce the number of clients who stop working with the company.

Policies & Procedures

The finance controller develops policies and procedures for handling and maintaining information, focusing on reducing risk during financial transactions and report generation through department and organization-wide controls.

Experience

5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Proven working experience as a Financial controller
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Purpose of the job

We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to undertake all aspects of financial management:

Corporate Banking, accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, Tax payments, budget and forecasts preparation,
As well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Accounting: Masters in Finance Control or CPA
Knowledge

The Finance Manager should be knowledgeable about the following:

Financial reporting skills: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Budget analysis skills – to develop budgets and prepare reports
Financial forecasting -to develop budgets and provide overall financial direction to the organization
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (Sage, QuickBook, etc..)
Understanding of data privacy standards.
Leadership skills
Communication skills
