Job Summary:

The Electrical Site Engineer will oversee the installation, inspection, and management of electrical systems for construction projects. This includes ensuring safety, compliance, and quality of all electrical installations. The Electrical Site Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver efficient and sustainable electrical systems in line with project requirements.

This role requires an individual with strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a thorough understanding of healthcare facility electrical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision andEngineering:

• Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, ensuring alignment with project designs and specifications.
• Perform electrical load analysis and ensure accurate system sizing and layout.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications to guide on-site teams effectively.

2. Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within construction projects.
• Monitor and report on project progress related to electrical installations.

3. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all electrical works comply with local and international standards, such as NEC and IEEE.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols and design requirements.

4. System Testing:

• Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues effectively.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all electrical activities, including reports, logs, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate with project management regarding electrical milestones.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical installations and site management within the construction industry.
• Experience in power distribution, lighting systems, and energy efficiency.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other electrical design tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Certifications in relevant electrical systems are an added advantage.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
