Job Summary:
The Electrical Foreman will oversee and manage daily on-site electrical works for construction projects. This role involves supervising electrical technicians, coordinating tasks, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining quality across all electrical installations. The Electrical Foreman will work closely with supervisors and site teams to meet project timelines and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
Lead and Supervise Lead and supervise electrical technicians on-site, ensuring efficient task execution.
Delegate daily work assignments and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
Installation and Maintenance:
Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution, according to project designs.
Conduct routine checks and troubleshoot any issues during installation.
Quality Control:
Ensure all electrical work adheres to design specifications and meets local and international electrical standards.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance and quality.
Safety Compliance
Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring that all team members use appropriate PPE and follow safety guidelines.
Conduct toolbox talks to raise awareness of safety practices and potential hazards.
Coordination and Communication
Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth integration of electrical works within the overall project.
Report progress, challenges, and material requirements to the Electrical Supervisor.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, materials used, and issues encountered.
Assist in preparing site reports and updating project management on progress.
Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical installations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols, and relevant standards.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
