JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Training Principal, the Driver’s Major duties and responsibilities are as follow:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Driver will ensure efficient transportation services to the OTC staff, cadets and their children.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean and road worthy condition including all equipment and the maintenance is done on time.
  • Check vehicle condition/requirement and fill the Log Book properly.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and service of the assigned vehicle is taken place and report to a supervisor in time.
  • Make field trips in/or out-side Kigali and working extra hours without claiming over-time
  • Prepare monthly mileage summary with oil consumption and report to the Training Principal.
  • Follow established rules and regulations and Command’s policy on vehicle usage.
  • The driver shall be assigned to other small basic office assistance like plumbing, electricity repairs thus require this driver to having knowledge on plumbing and electricity management.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Training Principal.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a Rwandan driving license category B and D.
  • Having completed secondary school education.
  • Have at least 2 years of professional experience in a driving minibus.
  • Able to understand instructions.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Be in good physical & health conditions.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Must have a team spirit, working independently & integrity.
  • Must have Christian values and adhere to the working environment principles
