of Programs at Inades- Formation Rwanda

Presentation  of Inades- Training

Inades-Formation Rwanda (African Institute for Economic and Social Development
) is a local non-profit organization. It is a member of a network “Inades-Formation” present in ten African countries: Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Togo.

Inades-Formation Rwanda was founded in 1976, and officially recognized
by the Government of Rwanda in 1977 (Ministerial Order No. 119 of August 22, 1977, revised by Ministerial Order No. 75/11 of April 18, 2006). Since 2012, all national NGOs are governed by the Rwanda Governance Board – RGB, by the new law
N0 04/2012 of February 17, 2012 governing the organization and functioning
of national Non-Governmental Organizations. The office of Inades-Formation Rwanda is located on “Boulevard de l’Aéroport de Kigali”, Remera Sector, Gasabo District, in the city of Kigali.

The mission of Inades-Formation Rwanda is to ”  work for the social and economic promotion
of populations, giving particular importance
to their free and responsible participation in the transformation of their societies.”

Through this mission, Inades-Formation is committed to helping the Rwandan population,
and in particular, the most disadvantaged people, to organize themselves to take charge of their destiny. The target audience of Inades-Formation is made up of farmers
and their organizations (self-help groups, agricultural producer cooperatives, women’s and youth organizations, networks of farmers’ organizations, local communities, development mutuals, etc.).

In order to ensure the successful implementation of its programs and projects, Inades-Formation Rwanda is recruiting a Program Director (PD) who meets
the following conditions:

  • Position:  Program Director
  • Workplace:  Inades-Formation Rwanda Headquarters
  • Contract duration:  Indefinite period with an initial trial year

Main responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Program Director (PD) are as follows:

  • Contribute to the preparation of documents necessary for decision-making
    by the decision-making bodies of Inades-Formation Rwanda (General Assembly, Board of Directors, Management of the National Office);
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Inades-Formation Rwanda intervention procedures;
  • Design and implement
    fundraising program and project proposals in accordance with the guidelines of the organizational strategic plan;
  • Supervise the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Inades-Formation Rwanda programs and projects;
  • Facilitate forward-looking reflections on different themes likely to feed into
    Inades-Formation Rwanda programs;
  • Stimulate and support creativity and innovation in approaches, methods, products and services for the benefit of target populations;
  • Establish knowledge management mechanisms and ensure
    the capitalization of experiences and other “Good Practices” within
    the organization;
  • Supervise the preparation and implementation of research studies;
  • Play, by delegation of the DBN, the role of representation and advocacy for the cause of the beneficiaries of the interventions of Inades-Formation Rwanda;
  • Ensure quality control of products and services provided to target populations.

Requirements to occupy the position of Director
of Programs:

To occupy the position of Director of Programs, the following conditions must be met:

  • Be of Rwandan nationality;
  • Have a qualification of at least A0 in a field of
    socio-economic development (Agronomy, Rural Development, Project Management, Economics, Development Sciences, Sociology, etc.);
  • Have proven experience as a program manager or other
    project or program coordination position (at least 10 years for
    A0 holders or 5 years for Master’s holders) 
  • Have a thorough understanding of project/program  management techniques and methods
  • Have excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques
    and key parameters 
  • Have advanced knowledge of data analysis, reporting
    and budgeting 
  • Have in-depth knowledge of IT tools, knowledge
    of program/project management software being an asset 
  • Have high communication and negotiation skills 
  • Have excellent organizational and leadership skills 
  • Have an analytical mindset with strong
    problem-solving skills.
  • Have at least worked with NGOs operating in Rwanda 
  • Have an excellent command of French, English and Kinyarwanda
    and exceptional writing skills in all three languages 
  • Be under 45 years of age 
  • Female candidates are more encouraged 
  • Having a category A driving license is an added value.

The application must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with at least three references

, a copy of the identity card, a notarized copy of the diploma as well as any other document justifying the experience or skills expressed in the CV. The application is addressed to the Legal Representative and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Inades- Formation Rwanda.  The deadline for submission of applications is August 5, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

to candidates meeting the above qualifications, conditions and skills.
