Commercial RDC

WHO ARE WE?

Tractafric Equipment has been an exclusive distributor of Caterpillar equipment for over 85 years, operating in 10 African countries (Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Chad). A market leader, Tractafric Equipment supplies construction sites in various sectors with a wide range of new, used, and rental equipment: mining, construction, and forestry equipment; spare parts; industrial and marine engines; power plants; generators; and material handling equipment.

YOUR MISSIONS

Based in Goma or Bukavu, and reporting to the Sales Manager, the Salesperson is responsible for prospecting and selling tires represented by Tractafric Equipment in his geographical area, respecting the objectives of margins, turnover and quantities assigned to him.

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE MISSION

1) Sales prospecting:

  • Establish and implement a prospecting plan in conjunction with your Sales Manager: Build and manage a prospect database
  • Responding to calls for tenders issued by prospective clients
  • Organize the “market” monitoring 
  • Research the necessary technical and commercial information (customer analysis, supplier analysis, etc.).

2) Negotiation and sales: 

  • Presenting an offer: proposed technical solution, quote or pricing template
  • Send the samples to the client along with the necessary documentation.
  • Prepare and have sales contracts signed
  • Ensuring debt recovery

3) Management of commercial information:

  • Submit visit reports and sales contracts to your superiors
  • Ensure the transmission of commercial information to the sales administration teams
  • Monitor sales targets (revenue, margins)
  • Populating sales management dashboards
  • Transmit strategic technical and commercial information from the field to the relevant departments (technical, marketing, etc.).
  • Inform your manager about customer observations or complaints 
  • Prepare sales plans and monitor promotional plans with your manager

4) Customer relationship management and development:

  • Manage and develop a client portfolio
  • Analyze customer needs and identify business opportunities
  • To propose new solutions: developments on a product, presentation of a new product range, a comprehensive offer, etc.
  • Ensure the quality of the tires upon receipt from the customer
  • Ensure compliance with the terms of the contract 
  • Provide maintenance advice
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mastery of negotiation
  • Prospecting skills
  • Organizing a customer tour
  • Mastery of sales administration
  • Knowledge of products, accessories and options

PROFILE

  • A BTS, DUT or engineering school qualification is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a salesperson or technical salesperson
