Title: Car driver/marketer

Missions :

• Ensure the daily travel of the Head of Post: in Kigali and during missions in the provinces;
• Ensure the maintenance of the work vehicle: interior and exterior cleanliness, checking oil levels, checking tires, technical checks
• Update the vehicle’s maintenance logbook and logbook (monitoring maintenance, mileage, fuel consumption);
• Occasionally, ensure the travel of other agents of the Embassy or the Residence (in Kigali or during missions in the provinces);
• Occasionally, carry out other so-called canvassing missions: filing documents with service providers, various errands.
• Driving different types of vehicles
• Ensure vehicle security outside the embassy premises
• Driving in procession

Profile : 

• professional :
  • Hold a manual car driving license, a motorcycle license would be a plus
  • Have at least previous experience as a driver, preferably with an institution (ministry, embassy, ​​large company, international organization);
  • Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws;
  • Excellent knowledge of the city of Kigali and its institutions (ministries, main diplomatic representations for example);
  • Be comfortable with digital tools (smartphone, Google maps, Whatsapp);

  • Exercise discretion (events that take place there and comments made there must not be reported outside the embassy);
  • Know how to apply instructions, know how to transmit information, show initiative;
  • Demonstrate behavior, punctuality and absolute sobriety;
  • Know how to work in a team
  • Be perfectly French speaking. Being an English speaker would be a plus;

Working conditions :

• Working hours from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. then from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday
• Days and times may vary depending on the needs expressed by the Head of Post or the embassy team: mobilization possible in the evenings and weekends, regular trips to the airport.
• Overtime paid at a monthly rate

• Base salary: RWF 434,459 gross monthly
